Unschooling Getting Started Digital Package

Includes FOUR different unschooling / road schooling and sibling sample applications. PLUS a detailed guide on unschooling and the application process AND a custom template with guiding notes for your use.

My Unschooling Getting Started Digital Package is perfect for someone who has confidence with writing and has some time available to write their own application, but really needs support with structure and getting the right wording to express your child’s unschooling lifestyle in such a way that MOE can understand early what learning is happening.
 
My custom template clearly outlines each learning area you need to cover, how much to write, how many goals you need and how to write goals as well as all the other criteria required by the official application.
 
The four sample applications included are REAL applications which have been approved by MOE in recent months (I have changed names and personal details for privacy). So you can get a great look at how to express unschooling, life schooling and road schooling education for a nice smooth application and approval process.
 
On top of that I have included an additional document with plenty of other ideas and support.
 
This can always be paired with my Exemption Review Service once you’re all done writing, so I can give you feedback and make sure your application is rock solid before you send it off.

Exemption Review

I review your completed or 'requires more information' exemption and provide detailed guidance.

For every single Exemption Review I have provided for families so far, I have initially been able to congratulate them on their thoughtfulness, creativity and detail. I just love hearing how different families “do” unschooling. I also want everyone to feel empowered in their own innate knowledge of their child and ability to meet their needs and extend their interests.
 
From there, after thoroughly reading through the application, I use my custom review form to check off each requirement has been covered and give detailed feedback, guidance and practical suggestions as to how to make any additions or changes to ensure your application is ready to send off with the least possible chance of having MOE come back with further questions. I can’t make any guarantees, but I can help you have the best chance at a streamlined application process.
 
Often I find the common things that come up are:
🖋 needing to include more specific language about what your child would/could be learning.
🖋 making sure your goals for each learning area are specific and achievable – think what skill, concept, mindset or creation will your child have developed in the next 12 months
🖋 ensuring your timetable shows that each learning area is covered evenly across your estimated average weekly timetable (in this area less info is actually better, just give learning area heading and other regular features of your timetable)
 
If you have used my custom template which is part of my Unschooling Getting Started Digital Package, all of these things will be laid out nice and clearly for you, even suggesting how many paragraphs or goals you should include for each area.

Unschooling Coaching Session

One Hour Coaching Session followed by written guidance, resources and next steps in your unschooling or home education journey

This offering is for my fellow families who are already home educating their child and would benefit from adding some excitement, inspiration and reassurance to their existing activities and routines. 
 
Step 1: Respond to some simple questions to let me know about your child’s interests, your concerns or hopes for them and your main priorities for the session.
 
Step 2: A one hour zoom call with me (Nadia) where we have an organic conversation about your journey and ways to expand upon your child’s interests and any other areas you need support with. I will have done some research to offer suggestions and resources that will be relevant for your child and family.
 
Step 3: You will receive a written document with detailed guidance, resource links and suggestions which you can use to take your next steps towards thriving in your unschooling journey! 
 
Coaching packages with multiple sessions or custom needs can be arranged by enquiry.

"Self Starter" Exemption Writing Package

You complete a comprehensive survey with check boxes, bullet points and short answers. Nadia uses your responses to carefully craft the sentences and paragraphs, refine your goals and write the special topic. Resulting in a fully complete application ready for you to send.

I have a fabulous new service for those families who don’t need my Full Unschooling Exemption Writing Package but also don’t quite have the time and capacity to write the whole thing themselves.
 
My BRAND NEW “Self Starter” Exemption Writing Package is now available.
 
How does it work?
You complete a survey style questionnaire, which breaks down each section of the application into small achievable steps.
I have taken a lot of the thinking out of the process by listing lots of learning topics and skills so you can simply check the boxes that apply to your child.
Then you briefly list or explain how your child will learn the skills/concepts you have ticked.
You provide some possible areas for goals and list the resources you have available.
THEN:
I (Nadia) take your responses and use them to write beautifully crafted sentences and paragraphs, refining your goals and structuring the whole text, including the Special Project and timetable.
 
YOU end up with a fully complete application, with instructions on how to send it off to the Ministry of Education (MOE).

I work closely with you to delve deep into your what, how and why of unschooling through a relaxed 2 hour zoom chat. I then tailor my detailed notes from our chat, crafting a high quality, comprehensive unschooling application, ready to send off.

If you need serious help with writing your Unschooling / Life Learning / Road schooling exemption, this one is for you!
 
You might have all the best intentions in the world but in reality just can’t manage to get pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard!😉). You may also need to get your child out of school fast and get that exemption sent off asap!
 
My Full Unschooling Exemption Writing Package involves:
🌿 Usually a two hour zoom call with you to go through the whole application (using my custom template) in depth. I ask a lot of questions, prompt you and give suggestions to further explore your child’s passions, interests and support areas of challenge.
– I write a LOT of notes while we chat away
– It’s very informal and friendly, I promise!!
– You will need to be prepared with ideas and resources for each learning area to make the most of our time – I can’t make it up for you, although I can help with additional suggestions
🌿 I then go away and turn the notes from our conversation into full sentences and paragraphs, ensuring your application uses the right language, structure and keywords to tick MOE’s boxes
🌿 I send you the completed application and some helpful advice about the final stages of sending off your application, plus make any edits if necessary
🌿 The timeframe from zoom call to completed application is usually within 3-7 days
